1. Who we are

These terms apply to goosefl.com, operated by Equitable Labs, Inc., doing business as Goose FL (“Goose FL”, “we”, “us”), a Delaware public benefit corporation. Goose FL builds shared compliance infrastructure: privacy-preserving federated learning that lets institutions train models together while raw data never leaves the institution.

In these terms, “you” means anyone who visits the site, reads or downloads our materials, or contacts us through it. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. What Goose FL is, and what it is not

Public descriptions of our work carry obligations as well as information, so it matters what we claim and what we do not. Goose FL is:

• A technology company. We develop federated learning and agentic governance infrastructure, described on this site and in our published research.
• A published research contributor. We and our co-authors publish peer-reviewed work on federated learning and privacy-preserving AI, listed under Papers & presentations.

Goose FL is not any of the following, and nothing on this site should be read as if it were:

• Legal advice. If you need to know what the law requires of your organization, ask a lawyer or your regulator.
• A regulatory determination. Only a competent regulator can determine that an organization has met, or breached, an obligation. We have no such authority and claim none.
• A certification. Our work helps institutions prepare for audits in the style of ISO 42001 and similar frameworks. We do not certify anyone, and a conversation with us is not a compliance seal.
• A guarantee of outcomes. Statements about accuracy improvements or privacy protections describe specific documented projects or the design intent of the technology. They are not promises about your results.

3. What the site contains

The site provides explanations of federated learning, descriptions of our infrastructure and use cases, interactive learning tools (the Federated Learning 101 page and the FL Assessment), and a library of published documents. Three points travel with all of it:

• Educational content (Federated Learning 101, the FL Assessment) is simplified by design. It is a starting point, not an engineering or compliance assessment of your organization.
• Published documents (the KYComm white paper, the Oncology HealthFL deck, papers and presentations) speak as of their publication dates. Where they describe results, they describe the specific experiments cited, not future performance.
• Examples and statistics on this site come either from our own verified work or from attributed third-party research. Market examples are illustrative of the pattern, not evidence of a Goose FL project; we keep our own project claims separate under Solutions.

4. Acceptable use

You may browse, download, print, and share links to anything on this site for your own professional or personal use, including internal evaluation, research, journalism, and policy work. You may not:

• use the site in any way that breaks applicable law or the rights of others;
• probe, scan, or test the site's security without written permission, or disrupt its availability;
• scrape or harvest the site at scale, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us;
• submit false, misleading, or unlawful content through our forms;
• use automated tools to fill our forms or gate requests.

We may withdraw or suspend access for conduct that breaches these terms, and we may report unlawful use to the appropriate authorities.

5. Intellectual property

The site, its text, design, interactive tools, and Goose FL's name and logo are owned by Equitable Labs, Inc. or its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Our published papers and presentations are typically published under the terms of their venue (IEEE, ETHICS, or a conference). Where a publisher holds copyright, the publisher's terms apply to that document; check the venue's terms before redistributing. The Goose-FL-authored decks and white papers on this site may be read and shared for evaluation with attribution to Goose FL; they may not be republished as your own, sold, or incorporated into training materials without our written permission.

Trademarks. “Goose FL”, “KYComm”, “NOMOS”, and “Oncology HealthFL” are names of our company, products, and collaborations. Other names on the site belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these terms grants you any license to use them.

Attribution. If you quote our published work, cite it as published (authors, venue, and DOI where present) and link where possible. Do not present our statements as an endorsement of your product, and do not present a third party's endorsement of us as an endorsement of you.

6. Availability of the site and the build

We keep the site available as continuously as we reasonably can, but we do not promise that it will always be up, that every link will resolve, or that features will work on every device. The site may change as we improve it, and we may suspend it for maintenance or events beyond our control.

Some parts of the site are explicitly works in progress: pages marked “in development”, placeholders for announcements not yet published, and interactive tools under evaluation. Where a document or resource is gated behind a short form, the gate exists to route follow-up enquiries, and our handling of the information you give is governed by the Privacy Policy.

7. No reliance, and limitation of liability

Content on this site is general information about federated learning and our infrastructure. It does not take your circumstances into account. Before relying on anything here, verify it against your own requirements, your regulator's guidance, and professional advice where it matters.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Goose FL excludes liability for loss of profit, revenue, data, or goodwill, and for indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, except where such warranties cannot be excluded by law.

8. Links to and from the site

Our pages link to third-party sources we consider relevant: research venues, press coverage, videos, and partner organizations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination.

You may link to any page of this site in an honest, informative way. You may not frame the site or imply sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement where none exists.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising from the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The version at this URL is always the current one, and the date above changes when it does. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” line at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
